About
Built first for one family office’s own records.
WealthHut started as the system a working family office built to keep its estates, trusts and companies straight. It is now being prepared as a product for other families and their advisors.
Why it exists
The problem we kept running into
A family with several trusts and companies spends a surprising amount of time answering one question: where did this number come from? The answer usually sits in an inbox, a shared drive or one person’s memory.
We built a record where that answer is attached to the number itself, where open questions wait for the right person instead of being guessed, and where the history survives a change of advisor or trustee.
The shape of it
Structure first, then evidence, books and decisions
Structure to Evidence: Each entity names the documents it needs
Evidence
The statement, deed or agreement behind every record, tracked by content.
Evidence to Books: Statements prove each balance
Books
Double-entry books tied to the statements that prove each balance.
Books to Decisions: Judgements wait for a person
Decisions
Open questions routed to the right person, and answers kept as rules.
Where we are
Current stage
The records, vault, books, decision queue and tax preparation support run today inside the family office that built them. The office workspace is a prototype. Member plans through Route 422 Business Advisor and Network Magazine are a pilot. The hosted product for other families and the partner program are planned.
The company
WealthHut is a Ledgerd product
Ledgerd LLC makes financial record products, and WealthHut is the first. It was previously developed under the working name WealthVault.
