Platform

From source documents to decisions, in one connected record.

WealthHut is not another dashboard over spreadsheets. It is the record underneath: structure, evidence, books and decisions, each checked against the others.

The problem

Most family records are copies of copies

Figures are retyped from statements into spreadsheets, then into reports, then into a CPA’s workpapers. Each copy drifts a little further from the source.

What the statement says is what the books say is what your CPA sees.

No re-keying, no orphan PDFs, no unsourced figures.

  • A balance with no statement behind it cannot be checked.
  • A transfer classified without a record gets classified differently next year.
  • A report assembled by hand has to be assembled again for the next question.

How it connects

Four parts, one record

Each part feeds the next, and each flow is checked. The labels on the arrows say what passes between them.

  1. Structure

Who owns what, through which trust or company, and since when.

    In use internally
    • Separate property, shared ownership and trustee roles are modelled explicitly.
    • Cross-record checks catch contradictions, such as ownership that does not add up to 100%.
    • Each change event names the filings it affects, so the tax view follows from the record.

Structure to Evidence: Each entity names the documents it needs

  2. Evidence

The statement, deed or agreement behind every record, tracked by content.

    In use internally
    • Duplicates are found by content, not by file name.
    • Moves and retirements leave a custody receipt, so a document’s history survives reorganisation.
    • Other organisations’ systems are read, never rewritten.

Evidence to Books: Statements prove each balance

  3. Books

Double-entry books tied to the statements that prove each balance.

    In use internally
    • Balances are asserted against the statement that proves them.
    • Company books can be synced from QuickBooks Online and compared line by line.
    • Unreconciled figures are labelled as provisional rather than blended in.

Books to Decisions: Judgements wait for a person

  4. Decisions

Open questions routed to the right person, and answers kept as rules.

    In use internally
    • Each item explains the reasoning and recommends exactly one option.
    • Decisions are routed to the right person, with the evidence they need.
    • A settled decision becomes a written rule, so the same question is not asked twice.
Decisions back to Structure: Settled answers become written rules, so the record gets more exact with every question answered.

How it works

Five steps, each one checked

  1. 01

    Record the structure

Estates, trusts, companies, people and advisors become validated records. Ownership changes are logged with their dates.

  2. 02

    File the evidence

Statements, agreements and returns are inventoried, classified and tracked by content hash, with a receipt for every move.

  3. 03

    Keep the books

Statements are normalised into double-entry books. Balances are asserted against the statement that proves them.

  4. 04

    Decide the open questions

Judgements that would change the books or a filing are queued with options and one recommendation for a person to decide.

  5. 05

    Report with sources

Views, tax preparation and professional packs are built from the record, and every figure links back to its evidence.

Capabilities

What exists today, and what is next

Every capability carries one of four labels. We change a label only when the underlying system changes.

In use internally
Runs today inside the family office that built WealthHut, operated by our own team. Not yet offered as a hosted service.
Prototype
A working build used to shape the product. It runs locally and is not available to customers.
Pilot
Designed and running in a limited pilot. Scope and terms are agreed case by case.
Planned
On the roadmap and not built yet. We describe the intent, not a delivery date.

Entity and ownership record

Estates, trusts, companies, people and advisors kept as validated records, with a dated history of every ownership change.

  • Separate property, shared ownership and trustee roles are modelled explicitly.
  • Cross-record checks catch contradictions, such as ownership that does not add up to 100%.
  • Each change event names the filings it affects, so the tax view follows from the record.

Document vault with custody

Every source document is inventoried, classified by type, retention and sensitivity, and tracked by content hash.

  • Duplicates are found by content, not by file name.
  • Moves and retirements leave a custody receipt, so a document’s history survives reorganisation.
  • Other organisations’ systems are read, never rewritten.

Books tied to statements

Bank, card, loan and brokerage statements normalised into double-entry books for each estate and company.

  • Balances are asserted against the statement that proves them.
  • Company books can be synced from QuickBooks Online and compared line by line.
  • Unreconciled figures are labelled as provisional rather than blended in.
In use internally

Decision queue

When a judgement would change the books or a filing position, the system proposes options and a person decides.

  • Each item explains the reasoning and recommends exactly one option.
  • Decisions are routed to the right person, with the evidence they need.
  • A settled decision becomes a written rule, so the same question is not asked twice.
In use internally

Tax-year preparation support

A checklist of the source documents each year needs, draft computations and exports for the preparer.

  • Missing documents surface before preparation starts.
  • Every figure links back to the document it came from.
  • This is decision support. Your CPA prepares and files the return.
In use internally

Evidence packs for professionals

Assembled packages of source records for a CPA, lender or attorney, built from the vault rather than from memory.

  • Packs are delivered through a permissioned folder, not email attachments.
  • Account numbers are masked in anything that leaves the family office.
Prototype

Office workspace

A read-only view across entities, books, ownership, decisions and data health.

  • Every figure carries an evidence grade and the period it describes.
  • Figures of different grades or dates are never added together.
  • Consolidated net worth is deliberately not computed until the inputs support it.
Pilot

Identity and delegated access

Sign-in through Federated Trust, with explicit delegation when someone acts on another person’s behalf.

  • Acting for someone else is recorded as two identities, never as silent impersonation.
  • The system that owns a record keeps the final say on access.
Pilot

Member plans through publishers

Members of Route 422 Business Advisor and Network Magazine redeem a member code to hold a WealthHut plan for the term of their membership.

  • Each code works once and is recorded against the member’s own sign-in.
  • The membership level sets the plan: Personal, Business or Family Office.
  • The hosted workspace a plan covers is planned. The plan is recorded now.
Planned

Hosted workspace for families

The same record, hosted for other families, with each family’s data isolated from every other.

  • Advisors receive scoped, revocable grants instead of shared passwords.
  • Families can export their complete record at any time.
Planned

Platform partner program

Advisory firms offering WealthHut to their client families under their own brand, with oversight across those families.

  • Partner brand standards applied without forking the product.
  • Each family’s record remains the family’s own.
Planned

Personal records for employees

A private, portable record of pay, benefits and equity for people who work at family-owned companies.

  • Private from the employer unless the person grants access.
  • Goes with the person when they leave.
