Trust

Rules we hold ourselves to.

Wealth records are only useful if you can rely on them. These are the rules WealthHut follows in the family office where it runs today, and the rules the hosted product will keep.

The problem

Software that decides for you is software you cannot audit

Tools that silently categorise, merge and round leave no trail. When a figure is questioned, nobody can say who decided it or why.

  • An automatic classification nobody approved.
  • Balances from different months added together as if they were one.
  • A certification badge on a website with no report behind it.

How it connects

People decide, and the record shows who

Anything that would change the books or a filing position stops at a person. The software proposes; it never decides.

  1. Structure

Who owns what, through which trust or company, and since when.

Structure to Evidence: Each entity names the documents it needs

  2. Evidence

The statement, deed or agreement behind every record, tracked by content.

Evidence to Books: Statements prove each balance

  3. Books

Double-entry books tied to the statements that prove each balance.

Books to Decisions: Judgements wait for a person

  4. Decisions

    This page

Open questions routed to the right person, and answers kept as rules.

    In use internally
    • Each item explains the reasoning and recommends exactly one option.
    • Decisions are routed to the right person, with the evidence they need.
    • A settled decision becomes a written rule, so the same question is not asked twice.
Decisions back to Structure: Settled answers become written rules, so the record gets more exact with every question answered.

Principles

How the record stays honest

Every figure shows its evidence

A number carries its source and how strong that source is: a statement that ties to its own total, provisional books, or a record entry only. Where nothing supports a figure, it is shown as unknown rather than guessed.

Dates are never blended

A balance from March and a balance from August are not added together. Figures of different periods or evidence grades stay separate until they can honestly be combined.

Software proposes, people decide

Anything that would change the books or a filing position becomes a question with options and one recommendation. It changes nothing until a person decides.

Other systems of record stay untouched

When another organisation owns the original, WealthHut reads it and copies only what is permitted. It does not rename, move or clean up someone else’s files.

Professionals keep their role

Tax and legal outputs are decision support. Your CPA files the return, your attorney drafts the documents, and your trustee approves the distribution.

Outward-facing material is masked

Account numbers and personal identifiers are masked in anything handed outside the family office, such as packs, presentations and reports.

What we do not claim

No certification badges until the reports exist

WealthHut does not hold a SOC 2 report or any other security certification today, and it is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, law firm or accounting firm. We will publish certifications here when they exist.

If your organisation needs a security review before an early-access conversation, ask us and we will walk through the architecture directly.
